When He Comes Again Flip Chart

Easter is sneaking in a little early this year, then I'm sure many accept already started adding in some Easter songs in their repertoire. If you click on the Easter link on the side bar under
"This 'n That" , in that location are a couple of other Easter flip charts besides equally some ideas.

1 of my favorites,  in my long list of favorites, is "When He Comes Again".  This is REALLY one of my hubby's favorites and he thinks we NEVER sing it enough. Yep, I know this is not categorized every bit an Easter song, but I dearest singing it at Easter fourth dimension because it is about
Christ, and subsequently all, Easter  is a neat reminder of our Savior, his life, his love, his example, his decease, his resurrection and nigh importantly, his Amende  and considering of his Amende, I will one day exist able to run into my Savior and Heavenly Father over again. And then I think it is a perfect song to sing at Easter time—really, anytime is a swell time to sing it.

SINGING IN THE Round
One style to teach this song is to assign each grade one of the questions to sing and then everyone sings the last part together. Rotate the questions/phrases and echo until every class has had a plow singing each of the questions. For movement, you could accept them stand and sing on their turn or for more interest, you could do this as what I more formally telephone call "Singing in the Round".   Basically, you lot post each of the question phrases or their flip nautical chart pages on each of the 4 walls around the room, eastward.one thousand. 1 wall would have, "I wonder when he comes once more, will herald angels sing?", then the next wall would have posted, "Will earth be white with drifted snow, or volition the world know spring?" and so forth. Assign each grade to stand past i of the walls along with their teacher(south). They go one/2—1 minute to work on their function. Take a timer or bong to ring when time is upwardly. That helps to get their attention. And then everyone turns around and faces you—you'll be standing in the center of the room. You plough and face the first grade and atomic number 82 them every bit they sing their office, turning and leading each class as you go. When you finish the vocal, each course moves rotating to the next wall and phrase of the song. Echo the process. For the little ones, the teachers will actually need to help their class. If yous have combined JR & SR, mix the older kids in with the younger kids.

Choose THE RIGHT WORDS
Another way to teach the song is to list groups of words with 3 words in each group on the chalkboard or y'all could impress word strips. The grouping of words will include a keyword from the phrase and 2 similar words non in that phrase. There are two groups of words per phrase.  To play, y'all will hand the eraser to a kid and brainstorm singing the song. The child needs to quietly go up and erase the words or remove the word strips in the start group that are NOT in the phrase you are singing. Subsequently he/she has erased/removed the words from the get-go grouping, he/she must quickly give the eraser or tap another kid on the shoulder who has not had a turn and who is of the reverse sexual activity from them (boy-girl-boy-daughter) and in a different class and that child must rapidly and quietly become up and do the next group of words. You lot will keep singing that phrase over and over until they have erased/removed the wrong words. Y'all may want to stop after a phrase or two and have them sing that phrase(south) together a time or two and so repeat the process. Remind the children that in that location is no talking so that anybody can heed and hear.  If someone erases or removes the wrong give-and-take, but rewrite or replace the word strip on the lath. You could likewise play this game afterward they know the song fairly well to test them and only have everyone sing the song through with you while the children erase/remove the words to run into if they tin can practise it earlier everyone is done singing.  Here are some discussion groups for the kickoff poesy. I've listed the actual word in the song first in the list, so brand sure when you post the words, y'all mix the words upward inside each grouping:

Phrase 1-A: wonder, marvel, ponder
Phrase one-B: herald, messaging, announcing
Phrase 2-A: drifted, bravado, wandering
Phrase 2-B: spring, summer, winter
Phrase 3-A: smooth, glisten, shimmer
Phrase 3-B: brighter, lighter, higher
Phrase 4-A: daylight, moonlight, sunlight
Phrase iv-B: songbirds, robins, tweeting birds
Phrase 5-A: call, phone, tell
Phrase 5-B: knee, lap, feet
Phrase six-A: gone past, before, past on
Phrase half dozen-B: come up to me, come close by, come nearby

Here are some ASL signs you can use to help teach them the vocal. Choose less if you want to simplify.

I wonder, when he comes again,

Poster version but with a couple of
pictures unlike than in the file.

Will heraldangels sing?
Will globe be white with drifted snow,
Or will the world know bound?
Iwonder if one star will shine
Far brighter than the rest?
Volition daylight stay the whole night through?
Volition songbirds leave their nests?
I'm certain he'll call his little ones
Together 'round his knee joint,
Because he said in days gone by,
"Suffer them to come tome."

If you are looking for a flip chart, await no further. Well, possibly look a petty below and there you will find it. The flip chart has both verses. When I first taught this song I fabricated a poster for the showtime poetry. I've included that file as well if you would rather practice a poster. Information technology does need to be printed on legal size paper (8 1/2" x fourteen") though. I've revised some of the pictures on the affiche from when I originally made mine to pictures that I put in the flip chart. If you print on legal size carte stock, y'all could butt them upwardly together, elevation-to-lesser, then record them together and and so you would have a fold up poster.
